Having moved to the United States from his native Sri Lanka a few years back to study in Minneapolis, Ahilan decided this year that it was times to finally put down roots and buy a home here in Minnesota. But what started as a simple home purchase quickly turned into a very “interesting” experience for everyone involved.
After a few days of looking, we came to a great home on Bradford Avenue in Champlin. With an excellent location near the river, and ample interior space provided from a converted garage, it was exactly what Ahilan had been looking for. A few signatures later and we were on our way to close. But when Ahilan’s original loan officer unexpectedly changed his mortgage qualification status after of month of hard work and repairs put into the house by the sellers, we needed to scramble to get everything arranged for what was now going to be an FHA deal. Thanks to the hard work and flexibility of everyone involved, we were able to congratulate and welcome Ahilan to his new home on time. Welcome home Ahilan!
