Do you guys know about vinegar?  I always thought it was some old-fashioned, stinky liquid that our elders used to use.  A huge bottle of it always sat under the kitchen sink, but I never saw anyone actually use it.  It turns out, however, that vinegar is actually a miracle-worker!  Seriously – you can use it to fix almost anything.  Here are a few ideas:

Have a dirty tub?  Make a solution of one part vinegar and one part dish-washing liquid (like Dawn).  It looks good as new!

Use vinegar to dissolve rust.  Soak old tools or corroded nuts and bolts in vinegar for a few days.  Rinse them off with water, and watch the rust and scale disappear!  This trick also works for removing mineral deposits from showerheads.

Living in Minnesota, this one hits close to home.  This is what your car looks like in the winter on any given morning when you need to get to work.  Normally, you’d have to scrape off the ice with a plastic tool.  But, I’ve learned that you can create a solution using 2/3 vinegar and 1/3 water to help.  Just spray this on your car windows and the ice will melt away!  Just don’t store it in the car or the bottle itself might freeze after a while.  Do  you have any more useful vinegar tips?  Comment and let us know!  Until next time!
