By attending this 3.75-hour class, scenarios are presented with transactions that have gone bad. There are a multitude of complications that can cause distress to the clients and agents. Understanding how to handle these situations is crucial to make the transaction as stress-less as possible. With examples, student input and solutions presented, agents will be given tools to better handle inflamed tensions and bring people to a mutually acceptable compromise.

The Minnesota Department of Health Indoor Air Unit is teaching its three free continuing education courses, taught in-person, for Minnesota real estate licensees. The courses are approved by the MN Department of Commerce for real estate continuing education credits.
Mold
1 hr CE real estate agents (course# 1016620)
The course introduces indoor mold growth, a common health and structural concern in homes. Topics include: the causes of indoor mold growth; potential health effects from exposure to mold; common moisture problems; methods to find mold; and remediation guidelines for mold problems in homes. The course is a 1-hour classroom lecture style course. Opportunities for questions are provided during the class.
Carbon Monoxide
1 hr CE real estate agents (course# 1031298)
The course introduces carbon monoxide, a significant poisoning concern in homes. Topics include: the causes of elevated carbon monoxide; the health effects; examples of problems; and how to prevent it. The course is a 1-hour classroom lecture style course. Opportunities for questions are provided during the class.
Radon
1.5 hrs CE for real estate agents (course# 1016619)
This course introduces radon, a soil gas that can cause lung cancer. The learning objectives include health concerns; how radon enters buildings; radon testing methods; how radon can be reduced; radon disclosure in home sales; radon-resistant new construction; and radon licensure requirements. It is a 1.5-hour traditional classroom-style lecture course. Opportunities for question and answer are provided throughout the course.
