Free CE – Mold / Radon / Carbon Monoxide with Dan Tranter
The Minnesota Department of Health Indoor Air Unit is teaching its three free continuing education courses, taught in-person, for Minnesota real estate licensees. The courses are currently being scheduled at least a month in advance, for the next 6 months. They are taught at a location organized by the host, such as a real estate association or company. The courses are approved by the MN Department of Commerce for real estate continuing education credits. We can teach one, two or all three courses at a time and location that works well for your agents.

This course introduces radon, a soil gas that can cause lung cancer. The learning objectives include: health concerns; how radon enters buildings; radon testing methods; how radon can be reduced; radon disclosure in home sales; radon resistant new construction; and radon licensure requirements. It is a 1.5-hour traditional classroom style lecture course. Opportunities for question and answer are provided throughout the course.

Required Module: Fair Housing, Agency Law, & Legal Update

By attending this 3.75-hour course, learners will complete the only required class module from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. This Module Satisfies the 1-Hour Fair Housing, 1-Hour Agency Law, and the 1-Hour Broker Module Requirements. To get credit for the general module, the student must pass an examination taken at the end of the course (as part of the approved credit hours).
